Dear Friends,

I am excited and grateful that a Saint Thomas More Society has been established in Fort Wayne. Since coming to Fort Wayne, I have desired this Society of those engaged in the legal profession who, inspired by the example of Saint Thomas More, work together for the cause of truth, justice, and authentic freedom.

I have high hopes for the growth of the Saint Thomas More Society in Fort Wayne and for the success of its noble mission of promoting the interaction of faith and culture in the realm of law and public policy. We need Catholic judges, lawyers, and civic officials who are well- formed in the Catholic faith, who live that faith with conviction, like Saint Thomas More, in the public square.

Our nation and community are strengthened when people of faith bring their convictions into public life. The Saint Thomas More Society’s commitment to Catholic moral and social teaching provides an important framework for its activities and programs. I am very grateful to all who have worked hard to establish the Society in our diocese. I pray for all the members as they work together to serve the Church and society.

May the Holy Spirit inspire and guide the Saint Thomas More Society of Fort Wayne! May Saint Thomas More intercede for us!
